Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an artistic & scientific approach for communication, personal development, and psychotherapy. In NLP Neuro refers to our neurology, Linguistic refers to our language & Programming refers to how neuro & language works for desired results?
NLP is a pragmatic school of thoughts. NLP is a multi-dimensional process that requires the development of behavioural expertise, it involves strategic thinking and an understanding of the emotional and cognitive processes behind behaviour.
NLP provides tools and skills for the development of states of individual excellence, but it also establishes a system of encouraging beliefs and hypotheses about :
1. What human beings are?
2. What communication is?
3. What the process of change is all about?
At another level, NLP is about self-discovery, exploring identity and mission. It also provides an excellent framework for understanding subjective experiences, e.g. Psychological, Religious & Spiritual. NLP is not only about competence and excellence; it is all about wisdom and vision.
